HVAC Systems - central air replacement
We purchased a Trane XL16i 4 years ago and have had nothing but problems ever since. The most recent breakdown is the evaporator coil on the air handler has corroded. (The technician mentioned what thin copper they use on their newer models.) Although the new coil is covered by the warranty, the labor is over $1200.00! We have not had a single year go by without needing a repair on some component of the system. I can't understand why they have such a good rating with Consumer Reports - their product is truly shoddy!
