  • Poor Customer Relations

    We decided against purchasing a Trane HVAC system because we could not get a straight answer from Trane regarding part numbers. We asked 3 local Trane dealers to bid on a replacement central heating and cooling system for our house. We got 3 quotes, each with different part numbers for the same model number. We called Trane to ask what the difference numbers meant, but we were told they could not answer our question!!!   • Failure of new Trane air handler unity

    Replaced two older Trane units that only had 5 year warrenties. Had numerous problems with the units over the 10 years we had them. Decided to replace them. Went to Lowes and saw the Trane display. Spoke to the sales clerk. I really did not want Trane due to the problems we had but after speaking with the sales person, he acknowledged that Trane did have problems with their units but had now extended their warranties to 10 years.   • more problems

    Purchased a Trane 16 months ago. We had our other system, not a Trane, for 15 years with no problems. Within 12 months we had an Oder in the house, coals had to be changed. Now the unit stopped putting out cold air due to an expansion valve problem which will cost about $700 in labor and have to wait in 90 degree weather a week for the part.   • Where is our 10yr Warranty

    We were told by the salesperson we were getting a 10yr labor warranty and it was listed with the 10/12yr parts warranty on the sales order. We verified with the salesperson that the warranties were good with all Trane dealers and were told they were. After a nightmare install and one summer of it working, the next two summers we have spent more than $2000.00 in labor and Puron to keep the system going.     I need the Manufacturer's Certification Statement for Trane systems to determine if my system qualifies for a tax rebate for 2012. I cannot find the referenced tab on the website.
