Crooks Represent Trane - Trane Heating and Cooling

My complaint is on the installer of this Trane system AND TRANE's "Contact Us" on their website. As far as I can tell, the system itself is functioning properly. My beef with Trane is that they allow such crooks to represent their product. Many years ago we used Coles Comfort from Locust, NC while living in SailView and all appeared honest and forthright. After a few more years, we hired them to put a new system in my retired father's house in Denver, NC. They WAY overcharged for the system, DID NOT INSTALL it properly by putting the vapor barrier down in crawlspace incorrectly and closing all exterior air vents causing mold growth! Which of course they then quoted him $11,000 to come take care of the mold that their idiot installers caused! They had sold my father a yearly maintenance contract to come clean the electronic air ducts. $285 per year, and we just found out from another company that after 3 years, they NEVER PERFORMED THE CLEANING that he had paid for! There is a filter that needs taken out and hosed for cleaning...never done. It was so jammed with dirt we were told that it would have caused damage to the system if not taken care of soon. We even found fast food garbage in the crawlspace after their visits. I think they just came and hung out in the crawlspace for a lunch break and then went home! They are crooks and have bled my father dry! This experience with these contrators over the years has tarnished how I look at Trane systems. We are in the market now to buy a complete new system for a fixer upper and I am not even considering this product now. Trane should be be more careful on their screening and training of the companies that represent their products. I have recently read other reviews on this installationn company and they all say the same thing. I have spent the better part of my morning on Trane's website filling out my story, my personal information, contact info, you name it and hitting the SUBMIT button. What happens? It just erases everything you sent in and starts you back at the beginning again. So then I have been trying the "Live Chat with an Expert". I signed in for that at 9:50am. It is now 10:35 am and my screen still says "Please wait while you are connected to an Agent...connection: online." There is NO AGENT. I think this thing just fizzles out to dead space. As does all hope for this product.

What does a vapor barrier have to do with Trane products? Trane is diligent about their contractors, and the contractors have to hit a high level of customer satisfaction. On the website, they give the consumer tips on how to weed out bad contractors, and what questions to ask before hiring the contractor. The burden of fault rests on you my friend, and it is not right to fault equipment, when it is an installation error.
