Replaced two older Trane units that only had 5 year warrenties. Had numerous problems with the units over the 10 years we had them. Decided to replace them. Went to Lowes and saw the Trane display. Spoke to the sales clerk. I really did not want Trane due to the problems we had but after speaking with the sales person, he acknowledged that Trane did have problems with their units but had now extended their warranties to 10 years. The units we now have are less then one year old and the blower on the air handler has failed. We were advised by Trane that they do not stock this part and it has to be custome made by the factory takingup to a couple of weeks. We live in Florida. Just a word of advice to anyone considering buying Trane; they do not stock their parts. Disappointed in Lowes that they would do promote a product so aggressively and then they are surprised that part supply is limited. I know I am not the first person with this issue and Trane could care less.
